Alot of people seem to have assumed that a prequel 5th series would be about the borth of the federation. But what if the series took place even earlier, maybe starting in 2063 after the first warp flight. We could maybe have cochrane and lily solane come back as characters, as humanity makes its first tnetative steps into the cosmos. I think such a series would have alot of promise. A ravaged earth that has suddenly discovered both an FTL propulsion system as well as an alien race. What would the rest of humanity think of the aliens? What would the Vulcans think of the primitive humans? Who would build the "fleets of ships" that we heard about in FC? And how would warp drive and first contact bring about a renaissance for all of humanity?

Obviously you refuse to cooperate with me. Obviously you have no discipline to kepp the mouth shut. Obviously you don't. Let's try it that way, then you might get the hint. How many more minutes are we going to waste asking you not to talk? How many more!?!

-E-nil with Cpt. Robert April
-E-nil with Cpt. Chris Pike
-E-B with Cpt. John Harriman
-Birth o/t Federation
-pre-birth o/t Federation
-Excelsior with Sulu
-Stargazer with Picard
-S.S. Enterprise prequel
-Beta Quadrant thing with lots of Rommies and a few newbies
-ST:Academy
-ST:X-files
-ST:Love Boat
-Some kind of nifty task-force (ST: The A-team!)
-ST : Detective

There you go...

Well, I think that the right-after-FC idea wouldn't be that great - it would just turn into a rehash of Earth:Final Conflict, IMHO.

But ST: A-Team...now that's a plan.

In 2374, a crack team of Starfleet engineers were assigned to a Miranda-class starship by a JAG court for a hull they didn't refit.
They escaped from that flying deathtrap and returned to the Alpha Quadrant underground.
Today, still wanted by Starfleet, they survive as engineers of fortune.

If you have a problem,

And the Quatermaster's all out of tricobalts,

And if you can find them,

Maybe you can hire the A-Team!

Hannibal: "Because you, Face, are the only one slimy enough for the Breen to believe."

Face: "Gee, thanks. I'll make a note of that to the Syndicate when they find out it was BA who wiped out half their operation on New Sydney when he woke up after the transport."

Stage left: enter BA, a half-Klingon half-Tribble all-mean hybrid, his jewellry dangling from his hover-chair's dash.

BA: I told that sucker not to put me in that transporter. I pity the fool that tries to beam me!!

Murdock looks up from his "How To Holoprogram For Perverts"

Murdock: I thought I was the one with the transporter psychosis, BA? All this angst, to me, is redolent of your inner child coming to the fore.

BA: You gonna try to feed me after midnight again, crazy man?!

Face: That's the Gremlins, BA.

BA: *grumbles* hafta kill something...

"I do hereby give Aban Rune, or Necromancer, or any like-talented artist with sufficient time to realise the design, the free reign necessary to commit the Image of B.A. in ST: A-Team to print, in a matter that will highlight Gaseous Anomaly's brilliance."

OK, sod the Lawyer Speak: anyone like to go mad and design a half-Klingon half-Tribble hybrid with possible suicidal and promiscuous tendencies?

Possible names for BA's siblings (as I'm sure that after years of mention on the show, they'll turn up and kill someone or get killed on the front line)
-Lemming
-something hilarious that I thought of a second ago and is gone
-Sooty
-Whipchain Fluff

Anyone ever see a late 1980s "Gremlins" rip-offs called "Critters"? Here's video box art from imdb.com. http://images.amazon.com/images/P/6302517052.01.LZZZZZZZ.gif
Did you have something like this in mind?
