Was I delusional or did we get a close up of a wedding ring on Paris' finger in "Imperfection".

Now, I don't recall He and B'Lanna getting hitched other the the fake versions of them last season. I was also half asleep at the time so I could be totally off base here, but I swear they panned up his arm to his face while he was treating Seven and they showed a ring.

Since this ep was shown out of order (way out of order apparently), does this mean he and B'Lanna will be walking the plank later this season?

In the preview for the next episode, B'Lanna said "You are proposing to me now?" It was supposed to be during the race, I think. I imagin it's probably going to happen soon.

Aban: Actually, I thought I saw that, too. Just like you I thought "Did they just show a wedding ring on his hand?". I could have rewound the tap and looked for it, but I didn't think much of it at the time.

Well, this would kinda prove that the episodes were somewhat switched...

*knock knock*

Hello?

May I speak to Mr. Continuity?

Sorry, no one here by that name.

While these are continuity errors, they're hardly the producers' fault.

Now I don't know if I'd call them continuity errors. I'd guess that if you checked the stardates, it all works out fine.

And while I'm on the topic, if you check the stardates, the first ep where Chekov appears in TOS actually happens BEFORE Space Seed, so that explains how Khan knew Chekov in TWoK. Just FYI.

Continuity in that the episodes should be aired in the order that they're intended to take place in.

The "stardates" might make it okay, but I mean, come on! If they tried to air "Family" before "Best of Both Worlds" would you say "the stardates make it okay" or ... "What the hell happened?"

I say they should air the episodes in the order that makes the most sense, plot-wise and continuity-wise. That way there would be less nit-picking on the episodes and the writers could concentrate on better things, like making better episodes and giving Janeway a reason to promote Kim for once!

Then again maybe it's just me :P

Yeah -- what's up with that?

Geordi went from a Lieutenant jg in TNG's first season to Lt. Commander by the start of the 3rd ...

Worf went from Lt. Commander to Federation Ambassador to Quo'nos ...

And Kim's still an ensign?

Sheeesh, Janeway, don't want to promote all your ensigns, huh?

I would be willing to bet my boots that Paris or Torres die before the season is up.

I have decided that my contribution to a thread usually signals the end of a given topic. I realize that I rarely post, but have I said something to offend the forum or the people here.

Oh, hardly. Threads just have a tendency to die a natural death. Half the threads I start die immediately. Don't take it personally.

Hmmm... Captain 'I don't promote ensigns' Janeway. That's a new one. Goes right after Captian 'Borg Cubes don't have transwarp coils' Janeway.

And amazingly enough, Arsenal of Freedom (41798.2) and The Big Goodbye (41997.7)'s stardates places them as occuring after Skin of Evil (41601.3). So, Yar gets killed, then comes back to life to go to Minos and meet the Jarada. Riiiiight. Not too mention that she's very much alive on Angel One (41636.9) and, yes, that is her on the Away Team to the Stargazer in The Battle (41723.9).

Not to mention that 1100101, with a stardate of 41365.9, has Picard mention in a log-entry that they will undergo repairs to their holodeck, and Cmdr. Quinteros mentions the Jaradan probe as the reason for the repair, so, Stardate 41365.9 apparently comes after 41997.7.

With this information, it's suffice to say that for whatever reason, stardates do not neccessarily occur in their numerical order. Don't ask me why, though.
