But, I'm confused. Nothing like that is said in the episode, and so far as I can tell the treaty is not named. Was that from the prop they signed?
(I only found this by searching for the Treaty of DS9, and was surprised it wasn't named that. While the station was Bajoran, this sort of logic would have called the treaty ending WW1 . . . the result of long negotiation at the Paris Peace Conference, which was signed in a notable place in a Paris suburb out in the French sticks . . . the Treaty of Paris.
Instead, it was the Treaty of Versailles. By that same logic, one would think the treaty signed out in the Bajor system's Denorios Belt . . . the sticks, as it were . . . would be similarly named. Thus, I rather prefer the Treaty of DS9 or the Treaty of Deep Space Nine. )

Interesting point. However, the Treaty of Versailles is technically an outlier. Most of the political treaties are named after the city where they were negotiated. In the case of Versailles, maybe they decided there were too many Treaties of Paris. If you search Wikipedia for "Treaty of" in the title, you get a TON of names.
Fun fact: the Treaty of Versailles is specifically the treaty ending WWI with Germany, but not with the other Central Powers. There were a bunch of treaties signed in Paris, each with their own name and signed in a different palace or suburb around the city.
In any event, you're right that the term "Treaty of Bajor" isn't uttered in the show itself. But it's one of those situations where there must be a name for the document. From the sparse article on Memory Beta, it looks like the term dates to a VOY novel from 2000.
I remember in the early days of Memory Alpha, there was a little more speculation and interpolation of facts, and as time went on and the project got bigger, we had to pull back and stick to "pure" canon. (See also Humanoid Figure, aka Future Guy.)
Sounds like "someone" should discuss it in the article itself. (Not me, I haven't posted to MA in ~9 years!)

More specifically, a fact has to be explicit in the canon. If it's implicit, than it is considered "personal speculation", which is derived from "personal opinion".
I don't know if the words of this treaty were ever seen in a legible version. Under the guidelines and policies of the wikia, the name is speculative.

Yeah, I know Memory Alpha likes to go beyond canon . . . that's why I loudly quit eight years ago. Still, I'd be willing to go along with it if there had been an awesome image of the prop or something, hence my inquiry.
Good points regarding the WW1 treaties. Of course, we still have no evidence of the negotiations happening on Bajor, though indeed it could have been used as a neutral site if such was important.
