If it's the former, I'd suggest Data get in contact w/Ez and figure out her secret for jumping two ranks in about 7 months.

*noticed this in small screen while playing the trailer, but thought he just saw it worng* Thanks for pointing that out.

Anyway, perhaps they accidentally did a Tuvok (wrong rank), but I doubt it...
