Well, I watched "Someone to Watch Over Me" tonight. All I have to say is that I really enjoyed it. The ending really twisted my heart, too. But I think that may be due to my personal love problems at the moment.Comments from anyone else? Oh, I think Seven of Nine ought to wear her hair down more often. ------------------ "Some people call me the Space Cowboy. Yeah! Some call me the Gangster of Love. Some people call me Maurice. Whoo hoo! 'Cause I speak of the Pompatus of Love!" - Steve Miller Band's The Joker

I think this ep. will end up as one of my favorites of the season. The Doctor and Seven interact well -- I think they really would make a great couple. Hopefully they'll pick up on the Doc's feelings for Seven down the road. And it was great to have Sandrines back! The B-plot was fun too. Kudos to Scott Thompson; I was howling during his drunken scenes at the reception. And yes, more of Seven with her hair down...heck, more of Seven in that dress! ------------------ Lawrence Boucher "Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. I liked it to, even though it sometimes it was to much like a sit-com or soap opera.

The episode was good until they brought in the Borg nanoprobes. Ugh.------------------ http://frankg.dgne.com/ Rodimus Prime: "No more jokes, Springer. Cybertron's in deadly danger. We're heading back there. Now." Springer: "Yes sir, Mister Leader, sir."

I was very surprised at how good it was! "You Are My Sunshine" was great, as was "Someone to Watch Ovre Me" (the song).------------------ Quark: "Lesson number one: No one involved in extra-legal activity considers himself nefarious." (DS9: "The Sound of Her Voice")

I liked this episode, but I have to confess I'm rather enamored with every episode that has a musical number in it. I do have one complaint about it, but since I have conflicting opinions about my complaint myself, I'll forgo mentioning it. ------------------ "I have come to the conclusion that one man is called a disgrace, that two are called a law firm, and that three or more become a congress! And by God I have had this Congress!" --John Adams, "1776"

Is it significant that the hologram doctor sang "Someone To Watch Over Me," the same song that Rimmer the hologram from Red Dwarf mentioned in "Thanks For The Memories?"

I'm writing my review of this episode now. I thought it was quite good, but the basic plot was almost identical to any number of teenage date movies out this year alone. Luckily, the characters made it worth watching.------------------ "Fishing promotes a clean mind, healthy body and leaves no time for succumbing to Communistic or Socialistic propaganda." -- Ivar Hemmings, chairman, South Bend Bait Company
