OK - this is one of the most recent and detailed pictures from the NEAR spacecraft - the only arteficial satellite around an asteroid... Eros infact. anyway I was looking at the picture - and look! There is a face like the Cydonia one Except the big crater makes it look like a face with big Ferengi ears!

Apparently the "cover-up-squad" heard about it first. The link to the picture is broken.--Baloo ------------------ "The mark of a truly great mind isn't whether you're right or wrong. It's how well you can weasel out of a jam." --Cecil Adams Come Hither and Yawn...

I cannot see a ferengi from that crater? It looks like a heart shape due to the shadows.------------------ "We set sail on this new sea because their is new knowledge to be gained and new rights to be won" John F Kennedy members.aol.com/mfwan/index.htm

OK, compare the pics - and sorry about the silly link - I posted it quickly and late at night Anyway - I've marked in the 'Ferengi Face' - just go back to the original picture and see what I am talking about.

Well, I can see it. But Humans are conditioned to recognize seemingly human faces in just about everything... and those of us with hyperactive imaginations, moreso. In fact, I can find four different faces in the paneling of the door of my bathroom at home, two starship-looking things on the bathroom wall paneling, two faces in my kitchen wall paneling, and several images in the faux-brick paneling in my bedroom. The world is full of faces. ------------------ "Nobody knows this, but I'm scared all the time... of what I might do, if I ever let go." -- Michael Garibaldi

So are you saying that there are actually Ferengis out there who just happened to make that face and make their existence known to humans who would not know of them until the 2360s. Of course it may explain the entire Roswell incident. So is it Quark, Rom, or Nog? Maybe the Grand Nagus of this time? ------------------ 7 alarm clock: "Do not touch me."
