The borg are probably everywhere that there is something to assimilate.

I just had too.....

Yes, that story I read was a little disturbing, with Quark and the Orb.... Some people write some very strange stuff..... Then again, what about those of us that sat at the computer and read it?????

Aha... Gotcha.

Well, now that we're on this topic, I once read a story where Kira and a hologram of Tasha Yar were lovers... Some of the storys out there...

I'm still impressed they had the guts to do that wonderful kiss between Jadzia and her "friend".

I also remember the old joke in "Babula", where Delenn, after discovering Lenniers affection for her, says that a relationship with both Sheridan and Lennier would be strange.
Then Sheridan giggles and says "I don't think I'm ready for THAT yet, Delenn..." She didn't even dignify that with an answer.

Well, having a gay couple (without all the fuss about it) could be another first for the new Star Trek series, after the first good Russian, the first non-WW2 Asian, the first Black-White kiss and the first Klingon.

Er, I don't think that having the first Klingon as a regular did much to break down prejudice in the world.

You think?

Dunno why I added that. It seemed it was the only special crewmember on board.
Or was Wesley Crusher the first annoying kid to fly a spaceship on TV?

Let's please not turn the next series into Star Trek: Will and Grace.

I agree, Will & Grace is a comedy, not a drama. It would be nice though to see someone out of the closet in the next series. But the way the Star Trek series' are going, it wouldn't surprise me if the producers run out of ideas and decide to just make a show similar to Baywatch or VIP, with lots of breasts and violence. I wish Trek was on cable, so there would be more interesting storylines.

Er, it had the first French lead? (Admitadly played by an Englishman. Who drank tea. And liked Shakespeare. You think Roddenberry was reading the wrong chapter in "cultural stereotypes for lazy writers?)

So, we don't want more boobs and violence, and yet everyone loves it when the Defiant uses it mega-super-quantum-ejaculation torpedoes and super type 9-million phaser cannnons?

Tsk, whatever happened to good storytelling. Oh, wait, that's Angel...
