Alright you didn't like that idea!
Why??????????????????????????????????????????????????
You lot are always complaining that Voyager has no continutity. I prepose an idea with the Baddies being regulars and you lot decimate it. I hate you. I am removing my membership of this forum

Continuity is cool. And continuing story arcs are cool. We love recurring characters and thought out plots. Be rehashing an old idea and just changing the the names is one of the things that Voyager is doing. Anything they do for series 5 will have to be original and well thought out to be successful.

mmm, touchy....
Darkstar is one up on me, I can't think of any ideas that are to my liking. He likes his enough to pitch it for review.

Well, I can't speak for the others, but _I_ 'decimated' it because I thought it was derivative, fanboyish, and seriously deficient in several of its major premises.

And there was nothing in the post to suggest that the series would be pay any more attention to continuity than any other series. In fact, with a ship far more isolated than Voyager was, it would essentially be continuity-LESS. Bringing back a one-episode baddie race seen in a not-especially brilliant episode (except for the classic line: "It's GREEN") is not exactly continuity-laden.

If you want to pick up your ball and go home, that's your business.

This idea is still superior, if I do say so myself, and I do...

Darkstar: Although it's probably too late to mention this, you've posted a total of 47 times. Of those 47 posts, about 40 of them were posts of different series ideas you've had since joining the forum. I'm not trying to be mean, but almost all of your ideas were not very well thought out, extremely hard to read grammar-wise, and didn't seem to really go anywhere in terms of plot, characters, or story. And there were *40* of them!

I'm not saying that you shouldn't pitch your ideas here. Other people here do it. I just did it. But did you ever once wonder why you were getting such negative responses from the other posters here? Stick with one idea and try to build on it, instead of making up pointless new ideas from week to week.

"I hate you."

May I suggest this link, and perhaps this writer's site could help you out. Here seems to be more directed for you, and although it's not real, this resource site seems like good idea.

"...[They've] been so completely dumbed down by the media, by tabloid scumbags, by the Christian "right", by politicians in general, the school, parents who are dumber than their parents were, who are dumber than their parents were, and all of whom think that they can bring up a child just because they got down in bed and had a little sex...well, frankly, here is an audience that knows more and more about less and less as the years go by...We are talking about a constituency...that knows nothing. This is pandemic; terrifyingly, paralyzingly pandemic. They know absolutely nothing."

Dukhat,

Please tell me you didn't go and count all of his individual posts ... did you?

True. But he had to have looked up and counted the 40 posts that were "new series-related".

I doubt it. Probably just an estimation - after all, to the rest of us the figure sounds about right.

Yes, I just estimated. I looked at his profile, saw 47 posts, and came to the logical conclusion that since all he ever does is post those ideas of his, about 40 seemed like a good number.

Dukhat, that was perhaps not a very wise move, or thing to say about Darkstar. No More, please.

Anyone else notice the relavence of 47?

I have to say this forum is becoming very mean spirited, and if powers that reside here wish to remain powers where their opinions are valued they should hold their tongue. All responses should be polite and up beat, and if the perpetrator continues to offend the population as a whole the only response should be the boycott of his threads. Any further action should only be taken by the moderator. The individual will either vacate forum on their own when they realize they are being ignored, or they will shut up and continue to lurk hopefully learning something. Those that may know me or not, I dont say much, but I believe that a good forum needs temperance more than anything if it is to remain a popular haunt.
