There are rumors of delays,right casting and production difficulties so we might not see a new star trek series until Summer 2003.

Uhm, I don't want to spoil the fun, but Series V still only exists on paper. The casting hasn't even started yet. Last official repost was a release in summer 2002.

There is a possibility that any such series will be delayed due to actor and writer strikes.
Plus, the latest rumor is that ABC is interested. Grains of salt apply, of course.
