http://www.startrek.com/finale/reflections/ricksternbach.html Looks like we're getting at least one new ship for hte finale - hopefully a new Starfleet ship. If the rumour is true and we get to see a "future" Earth after everyone's home, I wanna see a Prometheus class starship. Lots of them, in fact. Hell, in the present too. Let's bring the old girl back for another round!

The Prometheus escorts Voyager back to Starfleet Headquarters for Janeway's courtmartial...hmmm...she definately can't outrun that ship...------------------ "When I said to get involved in the gay community, I didn't mean to sleep with everyone in it." Michael_T

[begin sarcasm] Maybe it's the new ship from Series 5... [end sarcasm]Sorry, I just had to throw that in there. Seriously, I'd love to see another new Starfleet design. What's the most recent new design we've seen? Is it still the Prommie? Nope. Raven. I guess you could count the Relativity in there too. ------------------ "The sons of the Prophet were valiant and bold, And quite unacustomed to fear. Well, the Nova was seen more recently, but I suppose technically it's an earlier design. As is the Raven. . .------------------ "Kif, I have made it with a woman! Inform the crew!" - Zapp Brannigan

This should actually be in the Voyager forum.------------------ Lisa: "Don't you remember the story of Oedipus?" Homer: "Maybe five dollars will refresh my memory." Yes, a new starfleet vessel would be mighty be sweet, but it also would be nice to give some ships a real design (i.e. Chimeara anyone?)------------------ "You put the geeks on the left and the stalkers on the right and you run for daylight up the middle" - William Shatner, discussing a Star Trek Convention on EW-

I'd imagine that the Art Department doesn't even remember there is a Chimera-class. Not that I can blame them of course, but they're probably not all into the whole 'obscure-reference' thing.------------------ "Instructed by history and reflection, Julian was persuaded that, if the diseases of the body may sometimes be cured by salutary violence, neither steel nor fire can eradicate the erroneous opinions of the mind." -Edward Gibbons, The Decline and Fall of The Roman Empire.

Well, if Okuda is still working on stuff, I'd imagine he is aware of the fan-obscession with starship design. If the writers call for a new ship that doesn't have to be "top of the line" then he may consciously make it one of the known classes. Though, the fact that it is that class may not come out in the episode. We may have to wait for some behind the scenes interview to find out what class it is. I am still flaburgasted by the fact that the Raven, Centaur, and FC Scoutship were never given offical classes. What the Hell were they thinking...?------------------ "The sons of the Prophet were valiant and bold, And quite unacustomed to fear. Er, maybe "We should make a good story" rather than "we should cater to the masturbating fanboys"?------------------ You know, when Comedy Central asked us to do a Thanksgiving episode, the first thought that went through my mind was, "Boy, I'd like to have sex with Jennifer Aniston." -Trey Parker, co-creator of South Park
