Now for your question, Species 8472 is some sort of some-other-dimension aliens in Voyager. But that's all I can say cuz I don't watch Voyager anymore!!!

I think you've just been done mate. I get the feeling it was probably his way of getting back at the forums for the numerous jokes cast at his expense. You were just in the firing line.
