Don't you love this stuff? Pointing out errors from the shows and movies? Some are blatantly obvious, some only the die-hard fan could catch.

Off the top of my head, you've got the Stardate fiasco in Season One, which had episodes with Tasha Yar still alive with a later stardate than "Skin of Evil" (where she got killed by the oil-slick).

Or, in Yesterday's Enterprise ... at the end of the episode, in "our" timeline, Geordi LaForge is still wearing the alternate uniform (full collar, black cuffs).

So, come on, contribute ... ?

I believe its Unification part 2, theres a scene where, while in Selas office the away team passes in front of a shiny metal lamp, and you can see the camera man in the reflection.

Ok..

I recall a TNG episode where Geordi's pips are backwards: black, gold, gold instead of gold, gold, black.

And another TNG ep where they forgot to put in Data's gold contact lenses and Data had blue eyes.

That second one isn't a nit-pick. That episode was "Parallels". Who is to say that in that alternate universe Dr. Soong didn't give Data blue eyes, and not gold?

Kind of on topic and a possible Nit pick. Was there ever any explanation batted around as to why Worf was on the E-E during 'Dominion negotiations' but had not assumed his role as ambassador?

STV: Shatner's ego trip. When Spock, Kirk, and McCoy are rocketing up the turboshaft the flore numbers were going up rather than down. And by the time they got to the top of the turbo shaft they were on floor 78 or something like that.

You mean in Insurrection? Because Insurrection took place during the Dominion War. Worf didn't become Ambassador to the Klingon Empire until after the war had ended. Doesn't anybody pay attention to these things?

Coupled with the fact that A: it was one of those "look-I'm-using-a-gadget-we-saw-earlier" things (like Dirty Harry and the harpoon in "Dead Pool"), and the fact that it didn't do them any damn good!!! They still got caught.

They could've joined Sybok from the start, with the agreement that Kirk kept his own "pain"... (But since the other guys didn't suffer from it, it probably would've done him a lot of good)

Btw, love Kirk's bitchslapping of rebel in village riot!

Phil Farrand did: two for TNG, one for TOS, and one for the first half of DS9. Then his publishers got cold feet and pulled off in fear of Paramount retaliation, so we never got the latter half of DS9, or Voyager.

I think Farrand is still maintaining a website where he collects nits submitted by the audience... I don't know where this site is, though. I do hope he gets a new publisher someday.

Negotiations happen often during War. I guess you decided to ignore the references to the fact that the war was still going on, huh?

In Insurrection, Troi says she's never kissed Riker with a beard before, but "Violations" or whatever the episode was where everybody was getting mind-raped clearly shows her memories of doing just that. Not to mention the fact that she kissed Thomas Riker...kind of the same thing.

And do you really think the Dominion was negotiating with the Federation DURING the war, at the same time they were decimating the Federation....come on be real.

And don't use some WWII analogy as it doesn't apply to what was shown onscreen in DS9 (i.e. the Dominion didn't appear to be interested in any type of negotiations)

Yes, I found this to be very odd indeed. However, is this any more odd than Starfleet assigning one of its top-of-the-line Sovereign class ships to a routine duck-blind research mission in the middle of a huge war? Or even the fact that Starfleet has the time to conduct research missions when in a few months there might not even BE a Starfleet?

Star Trek: Insurrection would have been more believable if it had taken place after the war, not during.

I don't know if you're aware of this, but there was a cut line that had Picard asking Worf "how is your wife?" Since Jadzia died at the end of DS9 Season Six, Insurrection would've taken place during DS9's Sixth Season -- before the end of the war.

Often times two warring parties will be negotiating with each other. The representatives for the US and Vietnam were negotiating in Paris while the "war" was going on. It's not an unheard of thing for two parties to be at war with each other and holding discussions. Besides which, the Female Changeling surrender unconditionally. What was there to negotiate?

The only explanation is that the war is still going on. There is no time in "WYLB" after the war but before Worf becomes Ambassador for him to slip away to install a sensor post. Face it: the flick takes place during the War.

Speaking of which, is that Bolian at the diplomatic reception the same one from DS9's The Forsaken?

Simply one point.

Apparently you didn't read the others. It's impossible for Worf to be in Starfleet after WYLB, therefore, it happens BEFORE WYLB. The War is still going on. Accept it.

I assumed...as many others do...that the negotiations occured AFTER the war. There lies the problem.

I agree with you that Worf had no time after WYLB to do Insurrection activities, yet I also find it hard to believe that negotiations were occuring DURING the war...THAT is my nitpick.

You don't have to yell. I've already explained it, repeatedly.

Warring parties have often negotiated with each others. Look at the US during Vietnam. Negotiations were carried out in Paris. It's not unheard of.

Maybe the Dominion was trying to negotiate to get the Federation to surrender. Maybe they were negotiating about POW exchanges ... who knows?

My favorite one ... in "The Big Goodbye."

When the Holodeck doors open in Dixon Hill's office, you see a corridor wall. When Cirus Redblock and Leech step into the corridor, the holodeck corridor is to their right ... and a branching corridor is on the right!

Where'd that corridor come from? You can't see it in the original shots!

There's an early TNG episode (I think they had set the auto destruct or something) where the computer has this long line of speech. It takes this deep breath between sentances. Majel Barret must've been off stage with a microphone or something

In the STNG episode conspiracy, when Riker and Picard are firing at the Mother creature, Riker raises his phaser to shoot commander wotshis-faces head.
Riker is on the right but the left phaser beam raises for the kill - a bit out of character for Picard, Don't you think?

In "The Hands of the Prophets", when Odo is first talking with Quark and then O'Brien at the replomat ...

If you look at the 2nd level railing, you can see people walking around. The same two gold-shirt Starfleet officers walk back and forth, out of camera range, then back on again. I just noticed this watching the ep again and I thought it was amusing ...

Actually, if you look closely enough in any television show depicting crowds walking back and forth, you'll tend to see that kind of thing with extras. A few years ago I was an extra on Homicide: Life on the Street, and I was told to simply walk back and forth in front of the camera while shooting was going on. It was probably more pronounced here because the extra's uniforms stood out more than regular clothes do.
