STAR TREK: "Best of Both Worlds" - REV. 4/9/90 - ACT TWO

15A Continued: (2) 15A

RIKER
Maybe that's the problem. Could
be I'm too comfortable here.

TROI
I'm not sure I know what that means.
(But I do know that...)
You're happy here ... happier than
I've ever known you to be. It really
comes down to a simple question -- what
do you want, Will Riker?

Riker laughts to himself.

TROI
What?

RIKER
Stupid. An old song I heard when
I was a kid. Keeps running through
my mind ...
(off her look, he begins to sing)
'Didja ever have the feeling that
you wanted to go ... still had the
feeling that you wanted to stay ...
You knew it was right ... wasn't wrong
still you knew you wouldn't be very
long ... it's tough to have the
feeling that you wanted to go...'

ANGLE - GUINAN 15B

moving by with a tray of drinks reacts as she hears Riker...

RIKER
(Continuing)
'...still had the feeling that you
wanted to stay ... start to go ...
change your mind ...'

He stops as he realized Guinan is looking at him...

GUINAN
You start on Friday -- two shows a
night, matinee on Wednesday.

(CONTINUED)

CONTINUED:

RIKER
I play the trombone too...

She nods, and walks on ...

(Why isn't my formatting working???)

I wouln't say that anyone who has ceased to post every time you rant has "realized that they couldn't win" Omega. It's more like "oh, great he comes Mr. conservative frontal lobotomy boy who only hits one note over and over and over and over..."

Where did you get this?

Just wondering: what is the relevance of "continued" in scripts? If nothing changes, why mention it?

To indicate that there's no break in the actor's dialogue while the camera changes angle.

This is from the BOBW script.

I would have loved to see this in the episode. It would have been a great scene to see and hear.

I agree! It would have been wonderful! A lovely bit of character interplay...

We should start up a web page with all the cut scenes that we know exist in TNG and DS9... I know that there was a cut scene in All Good Things... with Martha Hackett aka Seska aka T'Rul... as a Talarian?? With four arms... I guess like Amarie from "Unification".

Homer: I'm gonna miss Springfield. This town's been awfully good to us.
Bart: No, it hasn't, Dad. That's why we're leaving.
Homer: Oh, yeah. [pokes his head out the window] So long, Stinktown!

Four arms, huh. So many new combinations to ponder...

Hmm. Riker singing would have increased the number of times I drove a screwdriver through my ear canal while watching, which was, in fact, mercifully zero.
