Not really, but wouldn't it be nifty?

What famous (or not so famous) actor/actress would you like to see in Trek? I think James Woods would make an excellent Romulan.

Posted by Sol System (Member # 30) on :

Just out of curiosity, where do you think Star Trek is produced today? Redondo Beach?

Anyway, my contribution: Christopher Walken. I don't think he's totally out of the realm of possibility, either.

I think Bill Murray would be a good choice for Q, although I'm not sure he'd be allowed to exploit his full sarcastic potential on Star Trek. Ghostbusters was on tv again recently, Murray was deadly.

James Earl Jones as a Klingon. Throw in a nice SW in-joke and it'll knock 'em dead in the sticks.

Posted by Mr. Christopher (Member # 71) on :

Yes, I know Trek is made in Hollywood, but I'm talking Hollywood in the sense of famous actors.

Posted by Michael_T (Member # 144) on :

Oh...Denise Richards as Ensign Christmas Jones and Brad Pitt as the Chief Medical Officer Dr. Peter O'Toole.

I think I can write a script about this...

Everyone remembers Christopher Plummer as Chang, huh? That was a hoot.

Did you know that in the TNG ep with Rasmussen, Robin Williams was asked to play the part? Unfortunately, he was hung up by scheduling problems so Matt Frewer played instead.

Too Bad. Probably would have rose the Trek Franchise by about a few notches.

Don't bet on it. His "Homicide" guest stint didn't boost the show in ratings beyond that one show (if that).

"No, Jean-Luc. I am your father."

*ducks*

Last I checked, Patrick Stewart is a very well known actor for his works outside of trek as well as in trek.

Robin Williams as a Ferengi
Vin Diesel as a Klingon
(Forgot his name but)Bad guy form horrible Speed 2 as a Romulan

How the *hell* ...

I mean, just how the bloody damn ...

How can you NOT know who Wilem Dafoe is? Go out and watch a damn movie.

Dolph Lundgren as the Borg Queen.

Posted by Michael_T (Member # 144) on :

Aww...I kinda prefer Pamela Anderson as the Borg Queen...the upgraded version.

Dolph as Ferengi tax collector!

Liquidator Drago?

Jack Nicholson is in my opinion one of the most relishingly watchable actors ever, what part he could play in Trek I couldn't guess. Some "Goddamn" screwed up alcoholc alien despot might be cool.

Anthony Hopkins also is one of the best actors of our time. A devious Romulan written specifically to his talents could be something quite special.

Posted by Austin Powers (Member # 250) on :

Not that he is an actor - but I would like to see our beloved Bill Gates as a Ferengi. I think he would be the perfect choice for an "old style" (not that "new Ferenginar morale"-Rom-type) Grand Nagus!!! What do you think?

Posted by Veers (Member # 661) on :

Ensign Christmas Jones, Michael T?
Watching a little too many James Bond films, I see. What would would she be in? "Romulus is Not Enough?"
Peter O'Toole--So, a British doctor leading desert tribes to freedom?
Either you're making a joke, or your're trying to fool us. It may have been funny... Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing Ross Perot play a Ferengi, although he wouldn't have to put on much makeup.

Posted by Dr Phlox (Member # 680) on :

I'd like to see Tim Roth as an alien villian. How about Michael Clarke Duncan as a Klingon? This isn't Trek but what about George Dubya as a chimp in POTA. He wouldn't need that much make-up either.

And what's the bloody hell wrong with a British doctor leading people into freedom.

Ron Jeremy. Werd.

Posted by Veers (Member # 661) on :

Earlier, Doctor Phlox, Michael T said something about "Doctor Peter O'Toole." Peter O'Toole played T.E. Lawerence in "Lawerence of Arabia," a film about a soldier leading desert tribes to freedom.

Shik: Do you mean Ron Jeremy as in the fat porn star? Holy s**t !!! lol

But hasn't he already done it? Perhaps he was in that spoof 'Sex Trek: The Next Penetration', or maybe 'Sex Trek: Deep Space Sixty-Nine'... Lol

Posted by Vogon Poet (Member # 393) on :

Well, he was in the South Park guys' porn spoof Orgazmo, and had a hilarious kung fu scene. Plus I spotted him in The Boodock Saints. He can actually act, incredibly enough.

Posted by Wes1701E (Member # 212) on :

wow there were SO many errors in that post vogon i could BARELY understand it... you meant Boondock right? hehehe

Posted by Wes1701E (Member # 212) on :

anyway, i would go for Jenna Jameson, Asia Carrera, Lexus Locklear, and Taylor Hayes as Risan love slaves... mmmmmmm

If you dont know who these people are, all I can say is that I was a very big porn addict.

Was? 8)

Posted by Michael_T (Member # 144) on :

I did watch a bit of Lawernce Of Arabia when I posted before... maybe I should blame UPN for showing it. And I do watch too many James Bond films since I bought most of the movies except Tomorrow Never Dies and Octopussy. Oh Wes, what made you stop watching porn?

Michael Clarke Duncan would make an interesting Klingon...though is he taller than the tallest Klingon we've seen?

Oooooohhh, duck everyone....

Posted by Sol System (Member # 30) on :

So Wes doesn't need to buy porn because his mother buys it for him? I think they invented the words "Too much information" for just this occasion.

Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :

Wes: Erm... I think it might be best if you keep your Oedipal activities to yourself...

Posted by Veers (Member # 661) on :

The tallest Klingon we've seen was Koral, played by basketball player James Worthy. He was 6 feet, 9 inches.

Posted by PsyLiam (Member # 73) on :

Bah. Dolph would have been better. Or possibly Wes' mum.

Posted by Vogon Poet (Member # 393) on :

No, he was making allusions about my mother. That's it, you little rat-faced cocksucking cunt, you're now officially on my shit list. Why don't you just crawl back into whatever scabies-infested womb spawned you and kill yourself, you tedious, boring, ignorant little nerd. Fuck off and bother another bulletin board with your amateurish unimaginative so-called artwork.

The hot weather hasn't been agreeing with Lee recently. He's old, and made of butter. You can see the problems heat would cause him.

What??! You didnt call me a 'scuz-bucket'?? It was sort of a joke, don't be all sensitve about it....

The man has very little sense of humor, Wes. Ironically, the same problem he accused someone else of having when he left last time around.

That said, there is no place for personal insults here, unless they're hiliariously funny, Wes. That one wasn't. Might I suggest you apologize before things get out of hand?

Agreed. Hey Vogon, I'm really sorry that I upset you. What seemed to be an everyday joke to me was a serious insult to you, and I apologize. I was making fun of the people who would seriously insult your mother more then I was making fun of you, which actually wasn’t my intention at all.

Posted by PsyLiam (Member # 73) on :

*slightly impressed*

Don't make a habit of impressing me Wes. I don't like it.

Saying Lee doesn't have a sense of humor is like saying the moon is a very small silk shirt.

The question is, who said he didn't?

Posted by TSN (Member # 31) on :

Um... Omega did. While talking directly to you. On the previous page.

Ahh i see.. 'very little sence of humor'. i tend to remember extremes.

For the sake of my conscience, I must hereby make my semiannual Defence of Omega.

*ahem*

Omega did not misspell the word "sense" when he first posted it. He may regularly misspell such basic words as "cat" and "fundamentalism" and "insanity," but he was innocent this time. While I cannot say I agree with the content of his post, his grammar and spelling was generally unremarkable in terms of incompetency. We must reserve our criticism of the lad for the times when he really deserves it lest the Boy Who Cried Wolf thing come into effect. Besides, posts one can legitimately make fun of him for are considerably more common than hen's teeth. On behalf of those who may go away from this thread thinking that Omega is mentally deficient, I apologize. Such conclusions would be unfounded from this thread alone.

OK. It was a really bad day. I nearly quit my job because of all the shit that's being thrown at me. No matter that I hadn't another one to go to (yet) and, given my girlfriend had said we could survive on just her salary, I really needed to get out.

One thing I wasn't in the mood to read was a defamatory comment about a member of my family. I over-reacted, but given the alternative was going postal and permanently removing a few lawyers from my company's payroll, maybe this was the better option. Anyway, better now. I went home and played with my cat for a few hours.

Posted by Wes1701E (Member # 212) on :

that is good to hear, about the cat...

Sheesh, I depart from this thread for about a few days and all heck has broken loose.

Okay okay, so you guys have patched things up I take it. Wes, just a small warning to you, and a reminder that "Loose Lips Sink Ships". And you really don't want to be on the Titanic, do you?

Carry on.........
