A character builder episode with a few nice effects, plus we got to see new things like Deck 15 and the Delta Flyer's escape pod, an odd shaped torpedo sized craft. I liked the opening shot as well. I didn't see too many obvious flaws, but I'm sure you guys can find them.

Well if the Delta Flyer can carry that sucker, then it can launch torpedoes. And it looks like the corridors from ST: TMP were given a makeover to make it Deck 15.

The pod looks as if it could fit one of those squarish features on the upper sides of the DF hull. So the DF would have four of those.

It also looks like it was made to match the existing photorp prop. Did we see the pod up close in a live-action scene, in prop form?

Carrying a torp-sized pod doesn't mean one can launch torpedoes. The launcher-loader and the warhead tank have to be fitted to the hull as well. IMHO, it's extremely unlikely the DF would be capable of firing torps of this size. Probably those 13-cm microtorps of the DS9 TM...

ALso, if the DF still had antimatter to arm the torpedoes fired, but not enough to go to warp, then the torps couldn't have been very big.

So, where is the pod located in the Delta Flyer?

Since Ive only seen the trailer on Mr Vidiot, Ill have to ask this: You can see weapons fire in the trailer, is that from an alien ship? If so, got any screengrabs of that as well?

All around I thought this was an enjoyable episode to watch.

I do have to ask though, why would it take six years before the Captain (or any of the other department heads) to do anything about three officers who are obviously performing below standard? You would figure their names would have come up years before in performance reports and something done to help them along.

The alien ships were conveniently invisible in this episode. I don't have any more images, either way.

We got to see Deck 15, DF escape pod, I wished we could of seen Shuttlebay 1 though. Also, though I doubt it, I'd like to see that cute Bajoran girl again.

The main aft shuttlebay is 2, I always thought that was the only shuttlebay.

I didn't like that one guy in gold, talk about your all around jerk. Even if you are halfway across the galaxy you shouldn't be that rude to a captain. I know Picard or Sisko would of chewed his ass out for his attitude.

I thought this was a great episode. The effects of flying through the window were great, and unexpected. We got to see a lot of new things, there was continuity, and character development. Now we just need an episode like this about the main characters. The episode made me feel confident in Trek again after some of the odd episodes this season. Wouldn't it be great if Voyager could be like this and better for the rest of its run, maybe even getting an 8th season. Oh well, just a small hope.

Most of the shuttlebay was computer generated in that episode. It would have been nice to see an actual set.

Crewmen, presumably, though I had to watch during a storm, and didn't get to examine their necks all that closely.

Great episode though. I'd say the reason behind them falling through the cracks for six years is that they were doing well enough to pass through Voyager's performance reviews, but not Seven's, unencumbered by such notions as "keeping everyone together" as she is.

One thing I noticed was that Janeway certainly has a sort of cold efficiency at times. Crewman's got an alien thing in him? Pat him on the head, tell him that everything will be fine, then stick him in a forcefield. Crewman controlled by alien thing in him walking slowly towards the controls? You could restrain him, but that phaser with a stun button is awfully handy. I rather liked all that, myself, as I was thinking that it might not be the best thing to let the guy wander around with an alien thing inside him.

Paris: None of them wore any rank insignia, and I belive that all were referred to as "crewman" at one time or another. I do believe that the bajoran (might have been one of the others) was reffered to as a (insert generic job title here) third class. In the present day navy a petty officer is reffered to by their rating. For example I was an Electronics Technician Third Class (PO3). So she may have been a low ranking petty officer.

Well, they were all Starfleet crewmembers, IIRC, and I think Tal Celes may have been referred to as "ensign." Also, didn't one of the other two allude to going to Starfleet Academy?

I am wondering where are the locations of Shuttlebay 1 and 2. I know that on the Voyager model we see one of them in the upper secondary hull. I was wondering though that Shuttlebay 2 was in the lower secondary hull.

Oh and I did see that black mouse cursor on the escape pod monitor. It goes to show you that Voyager is running under Windows 2000.

What's with the cursor?! I rewatched the episode and saw it. Guess it's suppose to be some injoke or whatever like the things on the Enterprise-D's MSD.

Shuttlebay 2 is the main aft shuttlebay, the location of shuttlebay 1 is my question.

Shuttlebay one is the one connected to the outer doors, #2 is in front of that (as in: more towards the nose of the ship), and does not have a direct 'door' connecting to outer space.

Shuttlebay 1 was seen, and refered to as such in 'Counterpoint', also Rick Sterbach said you need to go through s-bay 1 to reach s-bay 2 (after he confessed that the #2 thing was a mistake).

More likely that Voyager is run with Macs.

And don't tell me that Win 2000 has a black mouse pointer. Yet another useful little thing they copied from Mac OS. Several years behind schedule, as usual.

So Shuttlebay 2 is the maintenance bay behind Shutttlebay 1? That's strange, yet corny. Doesn't anyone in the show knows that they made only one shuttlebay???

Not the writers apparently. That's why Sternbach had to make up the thing about its being behind shuttlebay 1. The writers created a non-existent bay, and that was the best way to explain it.

You know. I've always looked at the Intrepid as sort of a streamlined and squashed version of the Galaxy Class. Many of their features seem to be in the same positions.
