- The Sisko Changeling escapes in the Defiant which is (likely) destroyed in the ensuing fight.
- Kira and Worf lead the Alliance fleet in the final battle against the Dominion.
- The Prophets are "future versions" of the Changlings.
- The real Sisko will appear, albeit briefly. No details are known, but given the events of the preceding episode, it's clear this is the real Sisko's first and last appearance in the series (excepting the Wolf 359 flashback in "Emissary").
- There are two Vic Fontaine numbers.
- A slight modification to Worf's uniform will be made (no reason is known at this point (speculation has been that he will become a member of the Bajoran militia! Not excactly a "slight" modification, if true.)
