I never saw the final episode (nor the final season, for that matter) of DS9. The following article encompasses all my knowledge of the final episode:
Redlining the Geek Meter
By James Lileks.
Can someone (everyone with an opinion ) fill in some more detail?

the crew of the old Defiant goes off in the 'new' Defiant with Admiral Ross and Martok and the Romulan Commander leading other fleets to attack the Dominion. Halfway thru the battle, the Cardassians switch sides and start firing on the Jem'Hadar and Breen ships. The female founder and Weyoun give orders to start leveling Cardassia Prime and lots of people get killed, including the old maid or whoever was living in Garak's old house where he and Damar and Kira had been hiding out in the basement. The three of them were making explosives to break through the door to Dominion headquarters, but when they get there, they discover the doors are made of neutronium, and won't so much as make a dent in them...lucky for them, the Jem'Hadar brought Damar out and killed him while they were hiding, waiting to get in, so they kill the Jem'Hadar and storm the place, make it up to the room where the Founder and Weyoun were, and kill Weyoun. Kira wanted the founder to order the troops off (naturally) but she wouldn't (naturally) Shortly, the Defiant arrives (naturally) and Odo beams down, and links with the founder, curing of her disease, and convincing her to stand down (naturally *L*) All the main leaders--Sisko, Ross, Martok, the Founder, the Breen Commander, and a couple of Vorta--get together and sign an agreement of some sort...not really a peace treaty, though, i think. Odo goes back to the Great Link and cures all the others, O'Brian packs his family up and goes back to earth to teach at the academy, Nog gets promoted, worf becomes the ambassador to chronos for the federation, and Sisko goes to Bajor on the prophets bidding, to fight Dukat, who's once again possessed by the Pah'Wraiths in the Fire Caves. they tumble into this huge pit of fire together, and, what it seems, is that Sisko becomes like a temporary prophet or something...he's not dead, but like they've been telling him 'its not corporeal, it's not linear'...weird. he finds a way to talk to cassidy and tell her everything's okay and that he'll be back eventually. They show everyone leaving, having flashbacks and such, and there was a good bye party in vic fontaine's place.
really good, overall, i thought. ...but i STILL think they should have ended voyager instead. *L* oh well.

At the Dominion Headquarters, they find that the doors are made of carbon neutronium, as Jedi said. But, Damar is with Kira and Garak. They all find it extremely funny to have gone all that way to the Headquarters, and not even be able to get in the front door.
Meanwhile, the Founder orders Weyoun to start exterminating the Cardassian's, since they have betrayed the Dominion and joined the Federation Alliance. They take the Legat who replaced Damar outside to execute him. The doors open, giving the Resistance an opportunity to attack. They take it and get inside.
There aren't enough Jem'Hadar guards in the complex, since Weyoun sent most of them to assist in exterminating the Cardassian's. Very close to where the Founder is holed up, the Jem'Hadar pin the Resistance fighters down. Damar is killed by multiple wounds from Jem'Hadar weapons.
At the sight of their leader dying, the Cardassian's falter. Garak bolsters them yelling "For Cardassia!" and they kill the rest of the Jem'Hadar. Garak and Kira are the only two left who make it to the Founder and Weyoun and capture him.
Weyoun makes some poor comments, and Garak kills him. The Founder doesn't like this, since earlier in the show she referred to Weyoun as a "Good friend", or something to that extent.
Thought I'd make that 'little' correction.

I was wondering about Garak. . . I gather he's a less than happy chappy at the end, having finally made it home only to fiind it in ruins and everyone he loves dead. Any opinions as to his mental state?
