Sisko has some visions from a desert, and he knows that this is Tyree. He tells his father and his son about his visions, and it seems that they also know Tyree. Why? Is this planet so famous? Or has my local tv-station just cut some relevant scenes about Tyree?

When I first saw the episode, I could've sworn that I had heard the name before in some other Trek ep, possibly TOS, but I couldn't find it in the Encyclopedia, I could never nail it down.

Yes, Tyree was a person in TOS "A Private Little War".

The planet was not given a name, only in the Encyc which called it "Tyree's Planet".
