It may interest some, but I've got a new section of 'behind the scenes' shots from Trek, 100+ images so far, with many more to come. Some are quite interesting, including these Voyager concept sketches by Rick Sternbach:

Aren't those from that Journey's End docu?

I believe those Voyager sketches are also available in the "Making of Voyager" book.

Still, behind the scenes pics can be fun! I'll take a look...

Hey - look in the second picture.

Bottom right-hand corner...

THE NOVA CLASS/future designs from the TNG TECH MANUAL! WOO HOO!

What?

The sketch in the bottom right hand corner of the second link's picture is of one of the TNG TM's suggestions for future designs. Sternback had this in mind when designing the Voyager.

Actually if you pretty much combine elements from all three or was it four of those designs in the TNG TM - you can get a Voyager.

No, I knew what you meant, but I was confused as to why you were ecstatic. Still am.

Yeh you're right, it is that early Nova concept..

Yes, Journey's End is in there, amongst several others, including the 25th Anniversary show, various 'makings of' and other specials. There's a whole load more to come including magazine scans.

It's literally pornographic!! [Wink]

No, no - It's just that I didn't think Sternbach and co. were going to take any of their own-written stuff to heart and use it. And it's nice to see that those ideas WERE incorporated into Voyager. Although I don't know how he got from that moveable nacelle diagram to some of those ships with sails on the backs of them. As I said earlier, though, you can look at those 3 or 4 TM pics and basically piece voyager together!

I've added 49 more images (captures and scans) to the previous pages, and more for Generations, and there's now a page for DS9 and Voyager, and ST: First Contact.

I couldn't reach the picture of the DS9 model, I got this message when I clicked on the thumbnail;
