Did anyone see last week's episode - and the Josh's 'I'm a fan' description of overdone Star Trek fans? I wish I had a transcript. Puts Shatner's 'get a life' speech to shame.
A Star trek fan was working in the West Wing, and he had to ask her to remove her Trek kitsch from her desk.
I loved it - best definition of the worst aspect of geeky fans I've ever heard. Present company excluded of course.
From now on, when some immature fan starts to breathe heavy about a Trek actress (especially in bad taste) - I'm going to tag it a 'Josh'.

My life is empty.

Good to see The West Wing dealing with the weightier issues in the world. Next the President will see a little green alien - only he will be able to see it though.
Drew Carey Show did it better with Ryan Stiles and his Babylon 5 watching!

Jesus fucking Christ, you stupid fucking masturbatory nerd. I'd hate to think about how many socks you go through a day. Goddamn.
Stupid horny nerd.
I get blacklisted for being funny, and pieces of shit like this get free reign to be the worst examples of people ever? Bullshit.

oh you poor Josh, Josh. you are such a Josh.
anywho, what exactly happened with the Trek stuff? I didnt get to watch this episode (or any of the hundred before it, for that matter). Which one is Josh?

Josh is the Deputy Chief of Staff played by Bradley Whitford. They never actually showed the Trek pin that she was wearing, but one would presume that it was a communicator pin.

Right.
However, I note that Sam was able to have sports paraphenelia (a team banner) in his office.
This would also be covered by the Josh speech, as he says he is a fan of various things: Star Trek (his knowledge of Trek details and Hyper-fan chat subjects backs this up), sports, etc.

Any of us who work in real world offices know that the simple truth is: Bosses can do whatever the heck they want.
I thought the whole thing was funny until Josh had is serious sit-down talk with her. That kind of ruined it. It was Rob Lowe's last episode and this is what they were focusing on...?
