The fact that that apartment will be featured in "Trekkies 2" speaks volumes, I think.

Two million dollars for an apartment in Leicestershire?! No wonder he needs to sell it on eBay, any response from an estate agent (realtor) would include the words 'you,' 'are,' 'having,' 'a,' 'fucking' and 'laugh.'

I've seen that apartment on Discovery once. It's ridiculous.

Oddly, it's nothing like apartments or quarters shown on Trek. It's FAR too much crap crammed into every square meter foe even a sparship's engineering department.

Actually I think he's had many saucy male designers and gallery owners home in that pad.

Oy, that is painful. I have a hard time with these dorks who give the rest of us geeks a bad image. I've known for over a decade that I want to use some Herman Zimmerman design elements in the home I want to build, but the good stuff, and appropriately incorporated, too. Wall panels like those in Ten-Forward on the living room walls. Lots of walnut panelling and trimwork. Unobtrusive black Lucite flat-panel desktops and control boards, etc...
I agree with someone else in this thread that he didn't use the quarters or Ten-Forward for inspiration. And I wouldn't want to live in the brig or main engineering.

Like a big room with a bar in the middle, and then you walk in, and people say "Jonah!", and then the retard in the middle asks you something, and then you reply with a witty comment, and everyone loves you?

That place kind of looks like the Nostromo's dining area. The ceiling is the computer core flattened out.

Seriously though, I thought about designing my house-to-be partly like the interiors from the Ent-D. I think that guy just stuffed as many elements of Voyager mixed with Star Trek - The Experience in Vegas into his rooms and thought that it would look authentic. **shudders**
What I always dreamed of was having a room under the roof with a window in the ceiling that looked like the Ent-D standard living quarters. Actually I have two rooms in my house that could be made to look like that - I just haven't got the time to do it.
