According to the Star Trek Chronology, there is a quote from Star Trek III (I think) that has Sarek being the son of Skon and Solkar.
Take a peek at this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0117731/fullcredits
and do a search for "Cully Fredricksen". Curious, no?

I think Solkar was established as his name from an Enterprise episode and was implied to be an ancestor to Sarek.

And for the record, it could also be that Skon was the child of Solkar. Just so ya know.

I always took it to be that his father was Skon and his grandfather was Solkar. Heheheh I wonder if he was a Goa'uld?

That's Sokar. And I believe it was always intended that the line meant "son of Skon (who was the) son of Solkar". At least, that's the take the Encyclopedia has.
