Well, it *is* universally hailed as the worst episode of TOS. If they wanted to do Voyager, they'd have done "Threshold", and so forth.

Plus, they had bikini babes in beehives. What's NOT to like?

Wierd... Karen Westerfield used to or does work on Star Trek makeup.

She's in that little colour section feature bit about doing the make-up for Quark in that DS9 behind the scenes coffee table-type book.

It has the most potential for comedy, although unintentional. The idea of Spock's brain being removed and then his body being walked around like a puppet itself is to laugh. But that Spock helped McCoy replace the brain is even funnier.
