I'm searching for Schematics from the Nova Class, especially from the bridge. Are there any Fact Files Pics currently available? I already have the Schematics from StarTrek The Magazine! Argh! Really? Not even fan-ones? Does anyone have a guess how they made the bridge designs in the fact files? Obviously there must be some kind of kit, because some figures, chairs and textures are the same. ------------------ This is how i prefer the borg... in pieces!!! -- Janeway in Dark Frontier Seventhworld, the new SciFi-Project www.seventhworld.de Soon to be featured StarTrek Nemesis Visit Rogue Fleet! Hey Nemesis, I'm a big Nova fan and I'm searching for bridge schematics just like you. I haven't seen any official bridge schematics, but I made a pretty accurate one based on the only image I saw of the bridge. Basically, it has all the elements of the Prometheus bridge, except it's refit alittle. I'll try and find that little schematic I did.------------------ "Impossible is a word humans use far too often." -Seven of Nine

Well that's great! Post it please when you have found it! Currently i'm trying to rebuild the Equinox bridge by using Schematics from the Fact Files. Did you notice that most parts of the Equinox bridge are a reuse from the Prometheus bridge? Oh, btw thanx! ------------------ This is how i prefer the borg... in pieces!!! -- Janeway in Dark Frontier Seventhworld, the new SciFi-Project www.seventhworld.de Soon to be featured StarTrek Nemesis Visit Rogue Fleet! I wouldn't be surprised as the same set has been redressed many times. I think the set first appeared in ST3 as the Excelsior.------------------ Teddy Roosevelt: "Speak softly and carry a big stick." Yosemite Sam: "Well, I speak loudly and I carry a bigger stick...and I use it too!"

Come to think about it, my favourite-nominees for the next "Fact Files Bridge Schematics" are indeed the Excelsior, Prometheus or Nova. You say that graphic is from the Fact Files? Man I wish I could get them. That looks alot like the type of graphics they use in Star Trek: The Magazine. Very cool.As I recall, the Equinox had a sunken are for the conn/ops console as well but I think the console itself was a bit different. The command area had two chairs like Voyager IIRC. ------------------ "A gathering of Angels appeared above my head. IIRC, Aban, a lot of the ship stuff in The Mag is directly from the Fact Files.------------------ "Incest! A game the whole family can play!" -Jonah Rapp

They don't have "official" schematics, but if you want to see schematics and spectacular CGI stills and animations of starships in action, visit SciFi-Art. The Nova Class can be found there, as well as almost every other class of starship. These aren't screenshots, but re-created CGI models, painstakingly researched and presented on a very slick java site. The detail on these models is so accurate, I have used many of their images as references for my modeling. You'll do a lot of looking around. To get to the CGI schematics of the Nova Class, go to the Archived Section, then select "Shipyard", then select USS Pathfinder from the list. This is a Nova Class ship. Yeah, but the SFA Nova is inaccurate. The stardrive isn't streamlined in the front.------------------ "Incest! A game the whole family can play!" -Jonah Rapp

I reckon that the prommie bridge is just a generic 'shakedown' bridge... possible similar to the one that the E-D had during its development... I mean look at it its pretty spartan...Andrew ------------------ "I threw bitter tears at the ocean But all that came back was the tide..." 'I Will Not Forget You' Sarah McLachlan

IMHO the generic shakedown bridge is the one that the Sutherland had in "Redemption". The bridge is no more spartan than the Enterprise(-A) bridge(s). Same thing, actually. Catapin's chair in the center, two forward stations for navigation and ops, and all the other stations on the bridge circumference. I think it's a nice return to the classic bridge design ------------------ "Incest! A game the whole family can play!" -Jonah Rapp

I think the Ent-D or Voyager bridge is the best configuration. I don't think a captain should sit alone and without a "chairtop"-computer to give vital info. -Ensign! Take us out of here! -Where, sir? -Um, 90 degrees to port. -Sir, there's a star there. -Damn! Well, think of something yourself, man! You've got all the fancy telemetry!!! Lieutenant, what time is it? -Siir?? -Well how the hell should I know, I'm sitting here with two cupholders!! And wristwatches went out of style 200 years ago. Oh, how I miss my senior officers...they used to be here somewhere, on my left, on my right, well you get the idea. -Yes, sir... Scratch Voyager too. All those irritating railings in the centre of the bridge stop the aesthetic flow for me. Next thing you know they'll put handicap-ramps in there somewhere too. Yeah, take a millenniumized EntD-bridge and slam that into the prometheus production-line. ------------------ Ready for the action now, Dangerboy Ready if I'm ready for you, Dangerboy Ready if I want it now, Dangerboy?
