Whenever we have a scene with multipel shisp, they are always very close together. Is that really such a good idea? It's not like all the peopel at the helm there woulf be flying in the Blue Angels today.

I would love to see a battle with just a few ships on each side, all with different tasks, and have it happening across a whole starsystem, since photon torps can travel quite long distances...
Have one part with the strategy of the attack, i.e. have like A Zakdorn there or something...

Well, its not like the conn officers are piloting all by themselves. The computer helps. Besdies, these pilots could very well be blue angels pilots. So far, there is only evidence for a starfleet numbering in thousands of ships. This means only millions of the best and brightest federation citizens run starfleet ships. Considering if each federation member world had a population of 8-12 billion, then the federation population would number more than a trillion. A few million out of a trillion means that those few milliopn can be very talented.
