After I have found the Cheyenne, New Orleans and Freedom, I would like to identify some more ships.Recently I checked BoBW again, and I could see all the ships on Pedro's screenshots, maybe even some more. Maybe he could post the screenshots here.
1) The very first screen in BoBW shows some scrap and a ship with apparently a long engineering hull and short nacelles. Could this be an Excelsior study model?
2) After the close shot of Riker, the Enterprise is shown passing the debris. There are two versions of this scene:
a) The (German and probably the original likewise) TV version has an awkward cut in it, and the Constitution (Challenger?) engineering hull suddenly appears on the left edge of the screen.
b) The (English) video version does not have the cut, and there's no Constitution hull (I like this one more).
3) The ship that is partially covered by the Enterprise looks interesting. Maybe I should try to draw it. Could it be (another) Excelsior study model? I compared it to The Art of Star Trek but I couldn't find a clue.
4) There is a glowing saucer in the same scene, most probably Galaxy class, but no nacelles are visible in contrast to what we believe is the Rigel class (with the tiny nacelles) in the previous scene. The only thing attached to the saucer seems to be an irregularly shaped rest of the engineering hull.
5) The lower half shows a ship without nacelles that looks a bit like a normal Excelsior.
Does someone have screencaps of Unification? This episode features even more interesting ships.
6) The scene when the Enterprise enters the Qualor II surplus depot is exactly the same as the BoBW scene 2), only some ships have been added, and the Galaxy saucer is not glowing this time.
7) One of the additional ships in the lower right corner has four nacelles, but it's no Cheyenne class, since a secondary hull is visible. It looks a bit as if it is an Excelsior saucer with an extended top piece as secondary hull and the four nacelles attached to it.
8) There is a single saucer in the scene just after the disappearance of the Tripoli has been detected. This saucer could be clearly seen, I should be able to draw it. It's a very bulky one, maybe it doesn't belong to a starship.
9) Another four-nacelled ship (along with Mirandas) is seen in the upper right corner when the Enterprise hides amongst the wreckage. It seems to have a conventional engineering hull, definitely no Cheyenne class. In cotrast to the ship 7), the engineering hull seems to be attached to the saucer bottom.
Finally, there is "The Emissary".
10) Only one new ship is seen (besides the Oberth class passing the much too big window), which is often believed to be the Apollo class Gage (see discussion in another thread).
