According to Cinescape, a Defiant Class starship (the Sao Paolo) arrives at DS9. Capt. Sisko is given permission by someone, probably Adm Ross, to rename the ship to Defiant. The writer who wrote this spoiler was accurate about Extreme Measures so I accept this on fact. Can anyone get vidcaps of the USS Sao Paolo? Thank you.

This is not a spoiler. For the past few weeks, there has been a debate about the new starship at DS9. None of the information is new. I consider a spoiler when the information is new.

It is a spoiler for those who do not live in North America and who do not see the episodes for another six months, therefore having many episodes spoiled (They know the Defiant is destroyed and then a new one arrives now).
To presume that people always want to learn of spoilers is not a wise move, if you ask me. I would flip if someone posted any spoilers for "What You Leave Behind" in a title, for example. I do not want to be spoiled for that episode. Some people do not want to be spoiled at all.

Do only Americans read the threads under Starships? Do I have to reference the threads that discuss the USS Defiant (aka USS Sao Paolo)? Come on, people. Let's be realistic. These past threads date to the beginning of this month when the first announcements were made about the Dogs of War episode.

Trinculo: If that's your definition of a spoiler, expect to get your butt virtually kicked by quite a few people here. A spoiler is not something that hasn't been discussed here. A spoiler is any information that gives away something from an episode that has not aired yet. By saying "The new Defiant?" in the thread title, you've just told everyone on the board that the Defiant was destroyed. In such places as Britain and Australia, they don't see the episodes until loooooong after they air in America. The safest thing to do is never say anything about the current season unless you are sure it's in a place where someone would have to deliberately pass a spoiler sign to read it.
