According to The Star Trek Database, the USS Sovereign (Sovereign Class) has the registry number NCC-77502.You can find it here, with pictures that have the Enterprise registy number (scroll down to the 1/15/2000 update): http://www.shipschematics.net/startrek/chronology.html The question is, where did the author of the site get that. I didn't send him an e-mail, because apperantly he has very little time to read e-mails. ------------------ "Reality is a condition that occurs because of a lack of alcohol." - Albert Einstein (-=\V/=-) [This message has been edited by Altair (edited January 20, 2000).]

That rego number seems pretty dodgy to me. I personally wouldn't expect the USS Sovereign to have a rego higher than 74xxx.There certainly isn't any canon rego that I know of. ------------------ "Forgive me if I don't share your euphoria!" I just realized this: The registry is NCC, not NX...------------------ "Reality is a condition that occurs because of a lack of alcohol." - Albert Einstein (-=\V/=-) [This message has been edited by Altair (edited January 20, 2000).]

We'd know it by now if it was canon. It's most certainly made up.------------------ I bet when Neanderthal kids would make a snowman, someone would always end up saying "Don't forget the big heavy eyebrows." I prefer the reg NX- or NCC- 74222.------------------ Brandon "Enterprise" Grasmick Commanding Officer, USS Sovereign (NX-74222) "Captain, the Sona crew are willing to negotiate a cease fire. ...although 74222 is just as made as NCC-00001. But, personally, I like NCC-1-800-547-7777, the registry of the USS Jim 'the hammer' Shapiro.

Does it matter if it doesn't have NX anymore? The Excelsior was only NX when it was testing its Transwarp... then it went to NCC...Did Scotty seriously put the Federation behind 100 years when sabotaging the Excelsior? HEY! A nice Opportunity to get Jimmy Doohan on Voyager - make Scotty a holodeck advisory character - helping to make Transwarp for Voyager... Shipschematics.net - who does all his line drawings - someone said they were from FASA or what ever - but there are really up to date ships there like the Hirogen relay station... whoever it is that does them - do they use a CAD program?------------------ "...it might be easier to study ancient societies from distant orbit than it might be to sit next to the Guardian of Forever with a tricorder." - Baloo, January 2000

When trying to establish a rego for the Sovereign (basically a mute point until it's revealed in a show, movie or the Encyclopedia) keep in mind that she was probably launched after the Nova and the Intrepid so the rego probably starts with 75 or higher. I believe that both the Voyager and the Equinox have regos that start with 74.------------------ "A gathering of Angels appeared above my head. Aban: I may be missing something but why did the USS Sovereign have to be launched after Voyager? Keep in mind that the Intrepid prototype was likely launched quite some time before Voyager.------------------ "Forgive me if I don't share your euphoria!" I heard the Intrepid Class was launched first (2370-71) while the Sovereign Class was launched later in the year. Most class ships have NX registrations any way and once the class has passed the evaluations and testing it is normally awarded a NCC registration.------------------ "We set sail on this new sea because their is new knowledge to be gained and new rights to be won" John F Kennedy

I wouldn't pay too much attention to naval classifications, names and registries given at shipschematics.net. I guess Jim sometimes makes them up for a better categorization of the ships. The word "official" only indicates that the design is supposed to exist in canon Trek.Andrew: Almost all recent schematics are from the Fact Files. ------------------ "A few more calculations"
