corrupted the minds of nieve and uneducated internet goers.Everytime I visit a new site or forums based on Starships, at least 90% of them have information copied directly from the original UP. How many times have you come across a site that claims the Steamrunner is a Uber-ship, that entered the battle with only 0.047% of it's systems operational, and yet kicked ass?

Where did the orginal up get its information on the steamrunner. According to official text the steamrunner was developed in the late 24th century so a construction date would be conjectual.------------------ "We set sail on this new sea because their is new knowledge to be gained and new rights to be won" John F Kennedy members.aol.com/mfwan/index.htm

The thing to keep in mind is that Chris G. did most of UP right after First Contact came out. At that time, nothing at all was known about the various ships that had appeared in it. Unfortunately, due to that overwhelming march of time, UP was never quite updated to the necessary point, meaning that large portions of it, such as the Steamrunner info, was woefully inaccurate.------------------ "20th Century, go to sleep." -- R.E.M.

What's the address for Utopia Planitia? Strangely enough, I've never been there.
