PS: I know the Yorktown story is conjectual, but hey, Rodenberry himself said it! He is the only one that can actually make anything he thinks canon Star Trek.

I think the confusion is that the Constitution II is often linked ONLY to the Ent-A, because we know the Ent-nil as the old Constitution.
People often tend to use the simple logic: Different letter, different shape. Which in this case does not work out right.
