Not much of a spoiler but I'll post anyway to make sure.

At the end of the episode where Troi is inviting Reg to dinner I noticed a comment. Reg said he didn't want to feel like a third nacel. This, of course, is along the lines of the fifth wheel comments heard nowaday. I wonder if this is a hint that the third nacel theory in the ST Universe didn't catch on as much as we thought it did.

Did anyone else notice this?

I noticed this too! Did you catch Troi's responce: "Not possible...He's bringing along a friend..."

The "Not possible" part is undoubtedly a reference to the controversy as to whether ships can have odd numbered nacelles. Those writers. Always making their little jokes...
