I just received an e-mail from Mr. Okuda. He confirms the following:
a. The ships of the Frankenstein fleet seen in the DS9TM are in the episode "A Time to Stand"
b. The drawings are reasonably accurate
c. There is no class information for these ships
d. Some ships have name and registry; others have "gags" for names
e. And not all the models are shown in the manual.

Christ, and there was I thinking something really awful had happened. . .

But, so what? That episode has been studied minutely and yet no-one's seen any of them. I mean, if a tree falls down in a forest, and all that. . .

Most likely, the ships other than the USS Curry and the USS Centaur were in the background.

This is similiar to the case of the USS Ahwahnee. The ship is in that episode, yet we can't see her.

In the first scene there are several weird ships in the back of the 'fleet'...

I'll check it again some time.

I don't know of better screncaps than on Pedro's site. Maybe I will have a look at my copy of the episode, now that I know what I'm searching for.

Targetemployee: You know, I really wish the idea to contact Okuda didn't come to us both at the same time...the guy's probably thinking that we're a bunch of wierdos

Anyway, my reply from Okuda is in my "Curry as Mediterranean class" thread.

See if he actually remembers what names were on these ships (especially the Shelley, so we can finally get a real name for it...)

Did anyone ask Okuda if the kitbashes are still around or if they were destroy, given away, hanging on a certain executive office, or what?
