She's got nine decks.Starfleet added all those little windows to make her look bigger than she actually is. ------------------ Star Trek Gamma Quadrant Average Rated 8.32 out of 10 Smileys by Fabrux (with seven eps posted) *** "Oh, yes, screw logic, let's go for a theory with no evidence!" -Omega 11:48am, Jan. 19th, 2001

I remember a few years ago I started a discussion on the size of the Olympic, and I thought that she should be bigger then what the Encyclopedia said she was. It's hard to get a straight deck count out of her though because the windows don't perfectly match up.------------------ "No, 3 & 6 are mandatory, so you only have to do them if you want" Alex, fellow classmate, trying to explain an assignment (2/2/01)

Waaaait a minute. Are we talking about the lead ship of the Olympic-Class? The one to which the Pasteur belongs? If we are, then yes, perhaps someone could explain to me why she is about the length of a Constitution-refit. I counted something like 24 decks last I remember. (although I was using the windows.)

The specs I have are 23 decks and 239 meters. I'm not sure where that specific figure came from, but it appears to fit. Here's an old MSD I patched together last year. It's not the greatest (especially the positioning of the warp core and transfer conduits, but it gives you the basic idea... http://www.st-minutiae.com/graphics/olympic-msd.jpg ------------------ You know, you really should keep a personal log.
