I would assume junior illustrator because Eaves is the senior illustrator...

Well, it's probably some ages-old master-and-apprentice Hollywood title associated with rain dances and animal sacrifices.
Alternatives might be: Chief Illustrator and Deputy Illustrator Illustrator and Assistant Illustrator Illustrator Emeritus and Illustrator Adept Guy with big pencil and Guy with little pencil Maestro and Manservant Big Dude and Little Dude Boss and Lackey etc. etc.

Hey, man, Drexler was never an illustrator before, so of course he'll be Junior. He started off as a Star Trek techie fan, then became a makeup artist, then convinced Mike Okuda that he'd make a good scenic artist, and finally, towards the end of DS9, he started building computer models, many of which are in the DS9 tech manual. After that he became an animator at Foundation Imaging, and it appears now that the Star Trek art department made him a better offer. However, the only ship he designed, to my knowledge, was the Defiant's shuttle Chaffee.
