So in that respect, there's no problem with the Voyager episode. <P>Then again, Valtane was NOT a junior officer in the movie, but a commander of some sort, and apparently the chief science officer. Probably this Dmitri guy Tuvok saw die was the less successful twin brother of Cmdr Boris Valtane, Excelsior CSO.
