No, this isn't really a competition, I'm just trying to find the best Star Trek ship site on the net. If only the Gigantic Collection of Star Trek Minuatie had its database up...
Anyway, what are people's opinions on best ship website?

My pick: Bernd's site, www.ex-astris-scientia.de. If, by "best" you mean the most comprehensive, accurate, analytical and full of rarely-seen info.

Of course, I'm biased since I contributed a *lot* of corrections and little-known info, but then again, so did many other people.

Yes, I mean a site like the one Phelps described.

I agree with Phelps - Bernd's site is still the best that I've ever encountered. Of course, I rate my own site quite highly too.

Ex-Astris has my vote.

Aside from Bernd's place, I tend to go to places like these:

http://www.starshipdatalink.com/
http://frankg.dgne.com/sfsd/
http://steve.pugh.net/fleet/

UP3!

What? Oh, right...

Posted by Veers (Member # 661) on :

I already knew about Ex-Astris, but thanks for some of the help. I think I have a lot of those bookmarked...

So what's the deal on UP3? I've always assumed it was a myth like Arthur's return from Avalon or a Dr. Who movie.

Erm... What's that Vorlon quote again? "Never ask that question!"?

There was a Dr. Who movie...I've got it on tape. It actually wasn't half bad...

Wasnt half good either...

Aside from my own site (thanks for the flowers), I have a few favorites too:

Neutral Zone
- loads of rarely seen ship images and high-quality screen caps

The Guardian of Forever
- ditto

Federation Starship Datalink
- the most pleasantly arranged database

The Trekker
- a probably better attempt to combine canon and conjecture than the Starship Spotter
Star Trek Archive
- the famous list of all ships
Gilso's Star Trek Schematics
- all kinds of schematics, some rare, some custom-made

Spike's Site
- all kinds of starship trivia (computer screens, dedication plaques, etc.)

DITL
- maybe the most comprehensive illustrated database

www.maximumdefiant.com is also the most comprehensive resource on the Defiant.

I'd vote Ex-Astris as well, ahem, as well as my own of course, pretty comprehensive, lots of pics too:

http://www.trekmania.net

- Bernd, my dear affiliate, so I'm not on your favourites list, eh....! (lol)

*drools at all the sites*

No worries Red, I too have to live in the shadow of Bernd's site.

I'm worried which other sites I may have forgotten too.

Red and Hobbes: Enjoy the shadow on a sunny day.

The shadows in the garden are also children of the light
