Cna someone who's got a far better relationship with advanced math figure out for me how much more volume an Ambassador has over an Excelsior? Actual figures aren't necessary; just a percentage is fine.

Didn't we decide that playing with CGI models was the way to do this?

There is a guy at the TrekBBS wo did very accurate and interesting calculations about the starship volumes. You should check the elder threads. Can't remember the name, but it was a long discussion. If you're not a member over there, I could aks them.

I am not, nor have I ever been, nor will I ever be, a member of TrekBBS.
I don't want the displacement & all that shit. It's pretty easy to figure out volumes of full hulls. I just need that of the EXC & that of the AMB...& what the percentage larger is.

These volumes are from Nob Akimoto of the Trek BBS:
Excelsior: 770,554 m^3 Ambassador: 2,547,862 m^3

That's a 331% difference, I believe. Thanks, Masao!

Masao,
Could you provide a link to the thread that discusses this?
Thanks! Art

Wow, that's a pretty big ship.

Not so big as her captain, I'd think.

I don't have the URL, but the thread was about Starship Spotter stats.

Mark, you are bordering on a continuity error there. Capt. Scott could *not* have commanded a starship of Ambassador class!

Sweet Merciful Crap! Did you just continuity-nitpick a one-liner gag?
No need... no.. need...
