I was looking through the Bridge Commander website, which led me to the Las Vegas Star Trek Experience website, which led me to their DS9 Promenade online gift shop, which led me to their "authentic prop recreations" section. Among the overpriced items, I found a couple pics featuring some good looks at some of the more obscure props out there. In particular, the phaser used by Admiral Janeway in "Endgame":
I'd known it looked a little different than usual, but hadn't had a good look until now. Cool, no? Much more can be found in the "Admiral's Colelction" of the shop.
$550,- for a PADD!? These things were made by the hundreds! Out of frikkin' plastic!!

Oh, great. Now where the hell on the site am I going to put this one?

$700 for a REPRODUCTION?! I wouldn't even pay that for the actual prop used in the show.

Anyone willing to pay that must be out of their minds. A total rip-off.

The Ferengi are definatly incharge of this particular opperation Posted by Sol System (Member # 30) on :
Perhaps a "Miscellaneous weaponry and temporally orphaned equipment" page to cover this sort of thing. That is, a type of phaser that's not likely to appear again, from a timeline of questionable...reality.

Actually, I do have a Miscellaneous section. However, I suspect I'll just put it in as a postscript to the post-TNG banana phaser page. . .

I've seen the same quality being sold online by other stores for less. That's where I got my phaser rifle from ST: FC for under $1,000.

Geez. I nearly got a copy of the "Hope And Fear" script signed by the entire cast for just over $300.
Too bad my parents wouldn't let me blow $300 on something like that. Curse them...

Talking of phasers and guns, here are a few shots from "Shadows of P'Jem", which featured the Andorian guns (redresses of something?), Vulcan guns and the Vulcan Big Gun (perhaps similar to the "Arena" mortar thing?)
I'm currently looking into changing my ISP, the likely one right now offers 50 Mb of space; if I go with them, then I'll do that Alien Weapons section I've been threatening to do for about two years. . . Nice caps, anyway. I only just saw "The Andorian Incident" this afternoon, and their guns remind me of something, anyway. I'm fairly certain they've been used before, I just can't recall where.
