That doesn't actually look as bad as I had pictured it in my mind. The restraints remind me of the harnesses that racecar drivers use.

Which idea? The TMP chairs they used up to 1987 and last seen on the Stargazer's bridge? Or the E-E's new captain's chair with seat belts?

It seems our friend is reaching for beloved esoteric character status. Alas.
Anyway, it is bad because, like all of Logan's supposed references to the larger body of Star Trek work, it is obvious and superficial. Yes, the bridge chairs should have restraints. Everyone should have seats, too. And what happened to circuit breakers? Did you know there is no sound in space? All of which are amazingly new nitpicks never before noticed ever.
