I decided to open this thread to everyone who wishes to showcase their designs for starships. They can be from anywhere, just as long as it's Star Trek (after all this is the Trek Technology Forum). If you're going to post a design, please post a picture if possible, and tell a little about the ships, it's name and it's registry (if applicable).

For now, I have decided to post this ship:

This is the Accos-class support carrier. This particular ship is the class ship, U.S.S. Accos NCC-39655. The pod seen on the underside of the Accos can be detached and a different one can be attached. This class of ship is used for many purposes, including freight transport, passenger transport, troop transport, etc etc.

I hope you enjoy this particular ship, and I also hope that you will post your own designs.

Feel free to criticize my work, but please don't be too harsh. Perhaps others won't mind their work being criticized, to. I originally posted this in the starships forum, but I guess this is the proper forum. So, bring in the ships!!

I like it, except I don't think that it should have an Excelsior-style shuttlebay on the back of the pod.

Actually, it's not an Excelsior-style shuttlebay, it's from the Constitution-refit.

Ok peoples, I've created a list of the 25 ships in the Accos-class. As far as I know, this list does not contradict any existing ships. Enjoy

U.S.S. Accos NCC-39655
U.S.S. Democratic NCC-39656
U.S.S. Folmes NCC-39657
U.S.S. Syrax NCC-39658
U.S.S. Peridan NCC-39659
U.S.S. Embuscade NCC-39660
U.S.S. Engageant NCC-39661
U.S.S. Garonne NCC-39662
U.S.S. Star Watcher NCC-39663
U.S.S. Terris NCC-39664
U.S.S. Demorant NCC-39965
U.S.S. Vencarra NCC-39666
U.S.S. Legionary NCC-39667
U.S.S. Highlander NCC-39668
U.S.S. Moon Watcher NCC-39669
U.S.S. Silver Mist NCC-39670
U.S.S. Request NCC-39671
U.S.S. Kongo NCC-39672
U.S.S. Gage NCC-39673
U.S.S. Essex NCC-39674
U.S.S. Zambezi NCC-39675
U.S.S. Zare NCC-39676
U.S.S. Colkind NCC-39677
U.S.S. Kier NCC-39678
U.S.S. Vistico NCC-39679

Note: there are a few things above that might appear a little strange to some people. For example, the U.S.S. Zare, some people might see the actual name, and some might see U.S.S. ZaOre. There is an accent over the 'i' (the two little dots). This changes the pronuciation from za-ERE to z-AIR. This is the french word for Zaire.

Hm... Actually, in English, the diaresis (the two dots over a letter, called "umlaut" in Germany) is, I think, usually used to show that a letter is pronounced independently (not as part of a diphthong), or is not silent. Meaning that, by spelling it "Zare", you would actually be changing the pronunciation from "zayr" to "za-eer". Either that, or I'm completely off. I think I might have made up this theory myself, judging from such words as "nave" and "Zaïre" and the name "Bront"... :-)

TSN-you have to remember, it's French. In French, the accent is called a trema, and it makes the pronunciation of Zare 'zayr'.

As I said on ICQ, it's got about 1000 times too much mass.

Especially since a Galaxy class starship weighs 4.5 million metric tons, and is over 3 times the size of that ship.

There is no weight in a vacuum! It is referrd to as mass!

It would appear that I have erred. I changed the weight of the ship and pods. Now it would appear that I have to change all the specs on my webpage....ugh.....

Shipmaster: Not true. If I stuck you in a box and pumped out all the air, you'd weigh the same as you did when the air was there.

However, I believe the point he's trying to make is that weight is dependent upon gravity, which varies, so it should, indeed, be referred to as "mass".
