Bernd: The "disruptor cannon", actually a particle beam cannon, is in fact similar to the Klingon bird of prey. I know. However, for what it's worth, I did draw it myself using Adobe Illustrator.
It also sports an underslung torpedo launcher, both fore and aft, which feature Gorn blasters and photon torpedoes.
And as for length... eh. It's bigger than a breadbasket. I would imagine it larger than an Oberth class ship but slightly smaller than a Miranda class ship.

Shipmaster: That never occurred to me. It certainly wasn't intentional...

it 'could' look like a Centauri ship fro the top view too I like centauri ships.they look exactly like the ships in the X-men series, you know, Prof X had a GF called Lilandra, her people had the same haircut & ships.

Tachy: LOL, wow, you read those too, huh? I never thought of them either but perhaps they subconsciously influenced me. Still remember when Jean fried that star, killing all the asparagus people.
Now if only I could get some talented person to model this in 3D... wink wink, nudge nudge...

Briggy, to be serious on the 3D matter. did you never wanted to try to build stuff in 3D yourself, i mean, i have seen a ton of people ( well not 1000 but..) coming to the scifi-art forums knowing nothing at all and in a few weeks of practice they show great promises. There's all the people you need there to try and succeed if you wanna 'try' of course. No need to have 3dsMax or Lightwave, there are some people there using other cheaper software or so that will help.

Tachy, I would love to try. I had thought Lightwave and 3DMax were just plain out of my price range.
However, I think I will give it a shot, and perhaps round up a cheaper program... I'll chat about it over there! Thanks!

Oh, and by the way: That era of the X-men WAS the best! That, along with George Perez' work on the New Teen Titans, defined comics for me in my youth...

Tachy, thanks for the URL and suggestions! I will see about delving into the depths of 3D art as soon as I can.
