Okay, I've just finished the first starship diagram for UP III (well, the side view, anyway), and I thought I'd let you all see something of what's to come. This is the Apollo class, as seen in the guise of SS T'Pau and a couple other Vulcan ships at the end of TNG's "Unification II".

I like it, although I don't think anymore it's an Apollo class ship. Maybe if Frank can gather enough people to assimi..., h, convince me, I could change my mind again...

Well, the encyclopedia says that T'Pau is Apollo-class, and that it was one of the ships seen at the end of "Unification."

Does anyone happen to know if the FF diagram of the Apo, er... T'Pau... had a top view? And if so, has anyone got it scanned?

Only side and front view.

Oh. Well, I would have expected a top view over a front view, but okay... Um... Can anyone get me the front view, then? :-)

Any chance we will see a cutaway of the ship?

Well, now that I've started work on the front view, I've made an interesting discovery. That diagram in the FF is not a front view. It's the back. Either that, or my ideas of which end of the ship is which are all wrong. Let's put it this way: the FF diagram shows the end of the ship that is on the right in my diagrams above. I always thought the left side was the front. Am I wrong?

I always thought the long end was the front, but TSN might be right.

Hm... Am I the only one who thought the ship was the other way around?
Well, I'm going to assume, if the FF say the long end is the front, and other people thought the long end is the front, that the long end is indeed the front...

Actually, I've been convinced that the short end is the front.

Well, Sternbach says the long end is the front, and the ring is an "annular warp engine", or some such. Learn something new every day, I suppose... :-)

interesting
did anyone else think that the T'Pau looked romulanesque - like there was a common history (of course there is.)
