OK this is a map of the trek universe. OK it might be a little skewed, but I tried 'twirl' on it.
I ended up turning it into an animation.
Its 'rough'
thoughts.
Oh, the stars I created using 'Universe'

Bugger, no! no! - sorry the lines are just the paths of 1) the bajoran wormhole and 2) the 'caretakers' displacement wave.
oops.

May I make the assumption that the red area beneath Borg space is Krenim space?

Did I drink to much tonight, or are those lines and the text disappearing and re-appearing???

I would've guessed it was the Barzan wormhole before its collapse. Aw, shucks.

Nice. However, I think the Romulans and Klingons should change places.
Yes Yes! Barzan wormhole - that makes much more sense - I was gonna put it on before I finished (remember this was only rough) but I thought it might be too cluttered.
But yes, the orange line is the Barzan wormhole.
I also have a rough map of federation and surrounds - using 'universe'.

Hi there! I'm Christian Ruehl, web master of the Star Trek Dimension. I'm happy that my site was mentioned here, however, you should try http://www.stdimension.de/int/Cartography.htm
to beam directly to the coordinates of my Cartography project (in English), which is, indeed, the most extensive one in the internet. To learn everthing you ever want to know about cartography, galactic geography and distances, please come to visit!
BTW: The Milky Way map Bernd mentioned is now avaiable in the new map archive of this project, along with some other exclusive maps.
