Ok, there've been a few stories posted recently, and as such, sparked a little, seldom-used filament inside my head. The idea I had was for a sort of 'everybody-writes-a-little-bit-of-one-big-story' type thing, although serious, not like the continuing stoy threads in the contests or officers lounge forums.
We'd need to decide the story, plot and characters, but it might be kinda interesting to do. Or maybe not.

Indeed...if you want to do a non-Trek story, then the Sci-fi Universe That Still Needs a Name is a great place to do it in.

I seem to remember this being done a while ago, and it got downright goofy. It's a great idea though, but what's the point if you're going to decide the plot ahead of time (unless you're only deciding very general events)?
