Click on the link below to see a ship that I started working on last night. It's going to be of the early "NX" line, possibly a few years after the beginning of Enterprise.
I've only had the chance to work on the nacelles so far, I put an image of a secondary hull on there too, but decided against using it and have been too lazy to remove the image.
if its not actually an NX class vessel, it wouldnt have an NX registry, now would it?

It is NX class. I meant that it would've been built a few years after ENT. It's my own design.

um.. ok.
i dont think we both use the same meaning of 'class' referring to ships. a different design would be a different class.

Enterprise's class distinctions haven't quite been explicitly spelled out, though, and I suppose it is always possible that "NX class" does not mean quite what we think it means.

Perhaps he means it will be a refit or some other "advancement" of the NX-class design.
Just as long as it's not some freaky "sub-class"...

^That's what I meant. I hate sub-classes, so this is not what I'm shooting for. I'm shooting more for something with a design lineage halfway between the NX-01 and the original Enterprise.

Given that we've actually had the Enterprise specifically called an NX class vessel, I'm not exactly seeing how this could be an NX class, unless the classification system goes from Sensical in the olde Earth navies, Nonsensical for the run of Enterprise, and Sensical afterwards.

I didn't post this stuff to start a debate on starship classifications. My focus is on the design of the ship. This is/was intended for something fun to do/try.

I added an update. Now there's a saucer for you to comment on. I'm going to redo the plating pattern though.
