Note, the picture sizes range from 60KB to 105Kb. I wanted to get the details to show, so sorry if they are kinda big.

none of those links work for me, and i SOOOO WANT TO SEE THEM!!!
Posted by Fructose (Member # 309) on September 19, 2002 01:03 PM:
Uh.... they work for me. I don't know what's wrong.

they are working now, for me. maybe the intarweb was broken earlier. that ship is I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. you have to make molds and release a model kit of that. i know it would sell well. nice choice of name, btw .

An "A" for the model. The model is named after Skinner. Who or what is Skinner?

Is it Captained by Super-Nintendo Chalmers?
Posted by Nimpim (Member # 205) on September 19, 2002 07:53 PM:
What's the purpose of the dorsal "box"? It looks out of place due to the lack of detail compared to the surrounding areas, no grey patches, no lanterns. Did you build it from scratch? Maybe if you'd put some torpedo hatches on the back and some more intricate details, that just looks glued on.

It's an amazing piece of work, but I agree with Nimrod about the pod. And, erh, where's the deflector? Posted by Spike (Member # 322) on September 19, 2002 09:34 PM:
Great model. I'd like to see side and front views.

Absolutely beautiful.

You now fall in to the group that makes me sick, sick of all your talent in this.... you fucks...
Did you happen to check out his link in his sig???
I'd say vanity has come to a festering head here, naming a ship after yourself....
Still, that sure is nice...
Posted by Fructose (Member # 309) on September 19, 2002 11:36 PM:
I have no idea what the pod is for, I just tried to make one that looked somewhat close to what the pictures show. And yeah, it's scratchbuilt. As for the deflector, can't you see it? It's right there..you know...by the, uh, thing.
BTW, that's been my sig for as long as I've been here.
Posted by Ritten (Member # 417) on September 19, 2002 11:39 PM:
mmm, I don't know where I got that from...
BTW, you didn't think Starlifter would have been a good name???

That's incredible. Just like your other models, it looks so damn good.
Oh, and I didn't know Fructose == Erick Muoz. You learn something new everyday.

it's Springfield class. Springfield is the town that The Simpsons is set in. Skinner is the Principal of Springfield Elementary School. hence, USS Skinner.

As for the deflector... the Galaxy class saucer as an auxillary deflector underneath the saucer, forward of the yacht. Your model has that structure on it to. If you painted it blue... there's your deflector array Posted by Fructose (Member # 309) on September 20, 2002 09:04 AM:
We'll just say the deflector is just like the Reliant's. It's there, but it isn't. Posted by Topher (Member # 71) on September 20, 2002 12:09 PM:
Skin-NER!
The funniest thing is, I have that exact same dish towel. Posted by Vice-Admiral Michael T. Colorge (Member # 144) on September 20, 2002 05:46 PM:
Ok, but where is the deflector? I don't see it anywhere on the ship. Nice work btw...

I've said it before, Fructose's ships are amazing. This is what shits me off - cause I reckon, Trek could have used half of Fructose's ships especially during the Dominion War episodes - when they were doing kit bashes.

Fructose, maybe you could do the 'pod' that we've seen accompanying the Springfield... you'll find your deflector there.

I've said it before and god damn I'll say it again. You Rule Erick. Seeing yours and Jason Abbadon's models here got me inspired to start making models again. Except i suck at it. How about posting a runthrough of how you did it like the others off your site. Also will you be accurizing you centaur class now the new pics are about?

Do you shut down your server from time to time... like... now? I always get the "can't find the server" message from my friendly IE. Posted by Dr. Phlox (Member # 878) on September 23, 2002 05:40 AM:
I didn't know you posted here, I've been visiting your site for ages. I love you're models, I wish I could make mine that well. You made the bottom of the Springfield look nice too.
Edit, it was my keyboard's fault.

Thanks, I'll put a rundown on how I built it once I update my site. And I don't konw why the server does that. It's not mine, so ask my friend. You can find him on the link way at the bottom. And I don't think I'll be doing anything to my Centuar. I figure it's just a variant. I knew it wouldn't be right when I bought the kit for it, but it looked cool, so I didn't really care.
