A current minor project, just for fun.

Still lots to do.

I dare you to model the interior...no I double dare you ;-)

BTW, I'm in the process of re-drawing the DS9 reconstruction patch for a generic workerbee logo, it might come in handy.

I humbly decline the dare...!

But the patch would be very useful indeed, I'd definitely like to use that!

I dare you to model Sophie Ellis Bexter. [Smile]

Coward! [Razz]

Well I've just this minute finished the patch, so you can choose which one you want.

The DS9 - Voyager era patch, or...

 -

The TMP era patch.

 -

Personally I think the TMP one is crap but thats mainly because all I had to base it on was a dodgy b&w scan from the fact files.

Lol, thay are both terrific! Did you draw both those characters freehand?! Great work.

It's a heck of a choice. For this Workbee I'm gunna choose the Voy/DS9 era patch. I'll post a new render of the Workbee with this on later...

It's always nicee to see one's work slapped on the side of a 3D mesh ;-)

No, don't be silly. I used a mouse! [Razz]

Only one complaint there Admiral... that we are looking at this thing at such a close range that we should be able to see way more detail in the actual 'hull' than we currently see. Metallic sheen, imperfections, different types of reflectivity depending on the material etc.

Nice though.

Oh and I'd make the 'deflector' less... intense. More of a deeper blue of the E-A's deflector.

That's no deflector of course. It's just a very bright lamp.

Kickass artwork!

Oh, I always thought that was a deflector apparatus... since even these little bugs need to sweep away space debris.

That would be because it hasn't been textured yet.
Remember, it's a work in progress.

I can practically feel that workbee sneaking up on me from behind, griparms unclutched, with intent to score a fieldgoal.

Yes, it is a WIP. Haven't finished the modelling yet, let alone texturing...

Yeh, with those clutching arms the phrase "open the pod bay doors please Hal" comes to mind. That little pod from 2001 I'd like to model some day.

I really think it is a floodlight. At the speeds these things travel, debris can be deflected by

(all together now!)

Polarizing the hull plating.

i second the addition of more texture.. maybe some light scoring around corners and joins, not rust but so 'in use' discoloration. i live realistic touches like that.
