I was watching Shockwave part 2 and I saw that they had a flag of starfleet. I coulden't make it out too well because I downloaded the Ep, Anyway this is what I made from what i can see from the video. I guess alot,but I sure theres a star in the center .

it looks to me like thats the united earth logo. .the part that would be the star is probably the major continents on a globe background, with the laurels around it

Looking at it, I can't really see that as being an equal five point star. It looks more like the old TOS command star to me, which would make a little more sense. I think I also see some smaller, thinner rings on the interior, similar to the UN logo.
Perhaps it looks a little more like this?

The delta symbol wasen't use by starfleet until after the TOS 5 year mission. It could be the delta star or a early version of the star...
Remember this is the the starfleet logo for TNG,DS9,VOY and it looks alot like the one I made.

Of course I remember that logo, I drew it, at least that B&W version of it. It wasn't a TNG logo, in fact it didn't turn up until the later seasons of DS9, season 5 or 6 I belive.
The command star isn't the old TOS delta but the little star that you can see inside it and it does indeed date back to before the 5 year mission, all the way back to "the cage".
That symbol was also seen on all command staff badges, from several ships throughout TOS so it would be plausible that the Federation Starfleet adopted Earth Starfleets old command logo as it's own Command/Ops department insignia.

As for me...I look forward to Resistance's posts, spelling aside, since frankly I graduated from any school that could give me a grade for spelling 12 years ago. I think his graphics quality allows him a little room to slide in the spelling department...

What I find most interesting here is that they've made it so that San Francisco is still a naval base the 22nd century, as well as a home for Starfleet. I don't recall any kind of naval presence in any of the 23rd and 24th Century San Francisco shots that we've seen.

I'm guessing that other ship's shoulder patches probably look very similar. Same colors... same use of a stylized view of the ship breaking the circle. However, I'd be open to the use of other views of the ship. In other words, some ships would be seen from the side or front... whichever angle is most distinctive.
I'm willing to bet that we'll see another Starfleet ship this season as well as her crew's uniform insignia.

whos working in the art department these days?quite a few of those guys have been known for cool looking insignia im sure they wont pass up a chance to add some life to the designs.

We had a bare glimpse of one last season, when Hoshi is looking for dirt on Reed. She contacted some guy on another starship, and he definitely had a visibly different patch on his left arm. No real details could be extracted - but the colours were sure different.
