They're both TOS-era designs. I realize that the shuttlebay of the Roosevelt is a little small, but it was really just a doodle...

Whoa!
Your Roosevelt Class looks remarkably similar to a sketch I did once for a model I designed using Miranda parts. I'd make the model if I had enough spare pieces. That's freaky!
Good designs, both!

Jupiter looks nice: kinda a TOS version of the Excelsior study model.

Very nice sketches. I don't think the Roosevelt class is too small at all if it's role is a scout class. It looks like it would be perfectly suited for such a role. Good job.

I like the Jupiter too... (please don't hurt me).

Roosevelt is odd. Jupiter looks like Discovery 1, which is cool.

Very kewel designs. The Jupiter is very reminiscint of one of the ship designs on my site: U.S.S. Bristol. The Roosevelt is looks like a design lineage cousin to one of the StarFleet Battles ships, which is a Frigate, I think.
On the Roosevelt, is that a B/C deck shuttlebay? If so, it looks much like the one I've been working on for movie era ships, as seen Here. I had originally come up with the idea about four or five years ago for my refit Ptolemy class transport/tug. I didn't want to have to tear her apart to add a Thomas Models saucer mounted shuttlebay, so instead cut out the VIP Lounge winodows and added some Evergreen Corragated sheet stock to simulate a shuttlebay door there. I've, obviously, since started work on another more detailed version to add to a different model at a later date/time.
If it's not meant as a shuttlebay, please disregard my self-aggrandized ramblings....
Again, very nicely done. When you going to build models of them.

Yes, the Roosevelt is supposed to have a shuttlebay at the back of the saucer "mound."
Nice model work, BTW.

I like that Jupiter class. And that U.S.S. Bristol model is really cool! Are there any more pics of it?
Perhaps we could do it the other way around and I made some schematics for the Bristol ?
