Ravenstar Studios offers this kit and I have modified it to 2500th scale by adding additional "feather" plating and new TNG style nacelles. Opinions are, as always welcomed.

Jason, is this accurate? If so then it's the clearest picture of the Nemisis logo I've seen yet. Any chance of getting a top down photo of one of these, so I can make a logo?
Oh yeah, the Talon looks great too. I assume the name is a translation of the Romulan word for 'talon', being a Terran word.

Regarding Talon, it's nice model, but I don't like the tail... too thin, too long. I think it would like better with Warbird-style tail.

The base looks pretty darn close to the Nemesis logo to me! A fellow modeler created the Talon class- and the base- ( I just modified it for 2500th scale) but I'm sure it's a translation. I think of this as an Ivarix class cruiser (like the Tomed in the "Lost Era" book SErpents Among The Ruins. That means the ship is a contemporary to the Excelsior class and I've refit it with small-ish Warbird looking nacelles. I also added the "feather plating" to the Dorsal side. Here is a link to the original version of the model: http://www.ravenstarstudios.com/romulan/r3.html
As to the Tail being thin: It's still thicker (in the habitable sections) than the Connie Refit's neck at this scale.
The ship is aprox. 355 meters long, so it's not tiny but it's no Warhawk or Warbird either!

That's a pretty cool design. I was surprised to see how thin the hull is on the top view. I like that big hole in the aft hull but don't like the thick wing so much.

Think of it as a design evolution towards the larger Warbird: after this class, the Romulans started splitting the single "wing" into two seperate "blades". Posted by Kazeite (Member # 970) on :
So it's kinda lika a frog - when it'lll go larger, it will grow two extra wings and lose the tail Posted by Jason Abbadon (Member # 882) on :
Any suggestions on what more Romulan TNG era ships would look like? I'm trying to "fill out" my fleet of potential bad guys.
